Crazy wind and rain last night into this morning. We have been lucky but a tree fell across both my parents’ cars, damage TBD. Our road is blocked with a tree down on power lines, and the kids don’t have school.

Here’s hoping the wind settles down and we can get things cleaned up. All I can say is, gas stoves are the BEST because we made coffee and oatmeal no problem, and I’m on the couch next to the hot woodstove right now.

Yikes!

Yeah, gas stoves are the best. I’m sure you know this, but stay away from those power lines. My best friend’s dad was killed when he tried to knock a tree branch off of the power line.

A mess here, though I have power, and there’s only one tree down, and it’s back in the woods (sounded impressive when it went though, it broke into a bunch of pieces). There are branches down everywhere though, and I was really worried about how large a branch my skylights could take without breaking, and couldn’t get to sleep due to the pounding of falling branches, etc. on the roof.

holy shit.. yeah we didn’t even drive near them when they were down. It happened a lot today, too. “Oh let’s go this way.. nope”
